I have to say, Mark Adkins, I fucking love you and I fucking love Guttermouth. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Guttermouth puts on one hell of a show and the reason they are always a good time is due to the dedication to the set of every member of this little punk rock band from Huntington Beach. They love playing and it shows. Fun, enthusiastic, and committed to total crowd interaction, Guttermouth seems most at home in cozy settings like the Gaslamp in Long Beach. Guttermouth motivated us with two favorites, “Lipstick” (Musical Monkey, 1997) and “Bruce Lee vs. The Kiss Army” (Full Length LP, 1992). As for the rest of the set list, I couldn’t tell you, I was too busy helping people off the floor at the pit’s edge. What a fantastic crowd and they soaked in every opportunity to show Guttermouth their appreciation. I don’t think I’ve had that much fun in a pit in couple of years, there wasn’t one single asshole. Everyone was there for the same reason, to have fun. On a side note, congratulations to your cousin, Mark. His win with the Royals in game 5 of the World Series on Sunday was something to celebrate! Glad we could be there to share your excitement!
